Cubbies, preschoolers ages 3-5 years old. Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process at home. Parents of Cubbies are also required to stay at the church during the 1 1/2 hour club time. Cubbies is fun with the purpose of learning about God through the elements of games, activities, Bible memorization, Bible teaching, handbooks, awards, crafts and snacks. Every part of each week is centered around an individual Bible truth presented in the handbook that each parent and child have been going over at home.
Sparks, kindergartners - 2nd grade. Sparks builds a foundation of biblical wisdom through Bible memory by combining learning and fun! Each club meeting has three parts. In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the Awana Game Circle. During Green Meadow Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson. During Sparkle Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.
T&T, 3rd - 6th graders. T&T teaches the truth of God's Word and trains children to follow Christ in their daily lives. The girls and the boys are split into their own T&T Clubs because they prefer to play games and recite verses separately. Both club groups have three segments. Game Time is when fun, exciting, team-oriented games are played on the Awana Game Circle. Large Group Time digs into and teaches the Bible truth of that night's section topic with application and understanding. Handbook Time is when clubbers meet in separate, small groups of four or five to recite Bible verses from memory, interact with their trained adult leaders, complete their handbook sections, and earn awards. All of it is done in a way that makes kids want to come back every week for more.
Come and join us any Wednesday evening that school is in session! We would love to have you with us!
The calendar is "chuck-full" of the events and theme nights of Awana. Click here to see everything AWANA on the KIDZ Mininistry calendar.
We also send out text reminders to parents of what is coming up each week. Talk with an Awana Director to get the details on how to sign up for these weekly text messages that will keep you up-to-date. OR: You can download this year's event list of all things Awana.
Parents of Clubbers:
Are you a Directional Parent or an Involved Parent ?
A Directional Parent tells there child when it is time to work in their handbook. An Involved Parent tells their child, "Its time for us to sit down together to work on your Awana Handbook."
Section Passing Rules (click here): The Leaders and Listeners must go by these rules before signing a section in any handbook. Every parent and clubber can properly prepare for passing the sections in their handbook by applying these rules. (The Section Passing Rules sheet also includes a way to help children to memorize the verses.)

T&T Clubbers that do exceptionally well in their handbooks usually finish all the regular sections in their book. Silver & Gold pages are designed as extra credit sections for these clubbers.
